Mobolize Privacy policy

At Mobophiles, Inc. (“Mobolize“, “we“, “us“, or “our” which include our group and affiliated companies), our most important asset is our relationship with our user community. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of information about our end-users. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy“) describes how we collect, use, disclose, share and secure the information collected and shared by you when you use our software to improve your device performance, control data usage and provide data privacy when connecting to Wi-Fi or cellular networks through our mobile application (“the Application“) or visit the Mobolize Website https://www.mobolize.com (“the Site” and, together with any related software, tools and services provided in connection with the Application or the Site, the “Mobolize Service“). In this Privacy Policy, “you” and “your” refers to individual users of the Mobolize Service.

If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you must immediately discontinue your use our products and services and leave the Website.

Types of Data We Collect and Why

The Application automatically collects certain information related to your use of the Application and your network usage. We refer to this information as “Automatically Collected Information” in this policy. This is anonymous, general information about your data usage, and does not include any personally identifying information about you, your device, or your location.

We may collect five types of information:

  • Device data: We use device model, storage capacity and operating system for troubleshooting and Application This data does not include unique device identifiers.
  • Connection data: We use details about your network connection (Wi-Fi or Cellular) to understand how the Application impacts your Internet connection and to improve our Application.
  • Performance and Usage data: We use data tonnage transferred, cached and the internet locations your device has accessed to understand how the Application impacts your data performance and to improve our Application.
  • Problems Reports and debugging information: We require your email address when you submit a Problem Report. You can choose whether to share extra debugging information when submitting the Problem Report. Debugging information can include your device name and IP address. We use this information for troubleshooting and to improve our Application. Your email address is never shared with 3rd parties or advertisers.
  • Application diagnostics and crash reports: We use this information for troubleshooting and to improve our The information we receive is fully anonymized and cannot be tied back to individual users. These are handled anonymously by the following third parties depending on the operating system platform:

We may use this Automatically Collected Information to (a) provide you with the Application and enable its functionality; (b) develop, enhance, market, or provide products and services, including the Application; (c) investigate and detect potential fraud; and (d) to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Yes. We may share anonymous user information with third parties generally in the ways that are described in this privacy policy. We may disclose Automatically Collected Information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, and do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them; and
  • with our affiliated companies.

Automatic Data Collection and Advertising

We reserve the right to use and disclose the collected non-personal data in an anonymized and obfuscated way for purposes of advertisement by us or our partners. We do not pass any personally identifiable information to ad networks or advertisers.

Business Transfers

Personal information about you, such as customer support logs and emails to our company, may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets. In the unlikely event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership, personal information may also be transferred as a business asset.

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, that parent or guardian should opt out of sending usage data on the affected device or disable the Application.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data and treat it securely. We implement appropriate physical, technical, organizational, and administrative procedures to safeguard data confidentiality, integrity and secure your information. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for personal information we process and maintain, no security system can provide 100% protection against all potential security breaches.

Data Retention Policy

We may retain data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter.

Cookies and Mobile Identifiers

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file used to store information about your visit to the Site. Cookies let Mobolize optimize and improve the user experience of the Site by helping us deliver certain functionalities, such as website login and language settings. The cookies we use may vary over time as we continuously update and improve our Site.

Disabling cookies

You are free to change your cookie preferences at any time. You can do this in the settings panel for your browser. Depending on which browser and device you use, you may be able to control which cookies you allow, which cookies you want to block in the future, and delete cookies. For more information about these settings, please refer to the “help” section of your browser. Note that Mobolize’s Site may not work as intended if you choose to disable cookies.

Mobolize’s cookies

The cookies set by Mobolize enable us to set your language preference, attribute visitors to a marketing channel, and, once you log in, securely show you information that is specific to your account. The cookies contain a user identifier, but no directly personally identifying information such as your name or email address, and do not track any activity outside of Mobolize’s domains.

Third-party cookies

We use Google Analytics for aggregated, anonymized website traffic analysis. In order to track your session usage, Google drops a cookie (_ga) with a randomly- generated ClientID in your browser. This ID is anonymized and contains no identifiable information like email, phone number, name, etc. We also send Google your IP Address. We use GA to track aggregated website behavior, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, and so on. This information is important to us for improving the user experience and determining site effectiveness. If you would like to access what browsing information we have – or ask us to delete any GA data – please delete your _ga cookies, reach out to us via this form, and/or install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.

Mobile identifiers

A mobile identifier is an identifier provided by an Android or iOS device. It does not contain your name or email address. Mobolize uses mobile identifiers to generate statistics related to the marketing channels and advertising partners through which users learned about and signed up for Mobolize mobile apps.

Disabling or resetting mobile identifiers

Users may disable or reset the mobile identifiers associated with their devices at any time. For instructions, see Apple’s page on Advertising & Privacy on iOS devices and Google’s page on Managing your Google Settings on your Android device.

Third-Party Websites

The Site may contain links to external websites that do not fall under Mobolize’s domain. Mobolize is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such external websites.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy and as otherwise required by law. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application or Site, you are consenting to our processing of Automatically Collected information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing,” means accessing information on devices or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, and disclosing information.
