Mobolize follows the caching rules specified by the HTTP standard, which is the core protocol used for the World Wide Web. These HTTP caching rules are the same rules followed by other types of caches, such as browser caches and caching proxies. Specifically, these rules allow the server to tag content with expiration or version information, so that caches know how long an item can be cached. As a result, CacheFront ensures that you will always access the latest content. For the technically inclined, the HTTP caching rules are specified in RFC 7234.

Mobolize can optimize data transmitted over the HTTP protocol through cellular and Wifi networks. It does not cache or optimize SSL or encrypted data, text messages or voice/VoIP data which use the SIP protocol for data transmission.

A virtual private newtwork (VPN ) creates a private network connection between two parties. For example, it is commonly used to connect your device to your work network. In the case of Mobolize, an internal VPN is created on your Android device to connect the Mobolize app with your other apps. Simply download the Mobolize app from the Google Play store and install. After installing, if you don’t see the Mobolize icon on the notification area, it means caching is disabled (off). To start caching: Open the Mobolize app. Tap “Activate”, a popup will appear. Check the box ‘I trust this application’, then tap ‘OK’. Caching is enabled and the Mobolize icon will appear.
