Mobolize is looking for a talented QA and Test Automation engineer to lead the testing effort for the company’s industry leading SmartVPN™ mobile platform for delivering the next generation of security and connectivity. Our SmartVPN is the first app-based platform leveraging the power of the endpoint device to intelligently deliver significantly more secure, faster and the most efficient security and connectivity than traditional VPN-based approaches.

This is a remote/WFH position reporting to the Director of Engineering and will be responsible for all aspects of product testing, such as the development of test plans, design/implementation of automated tests, and leading manual testing. Mobolize is a small and fast-moving team with a very dynamic work environment, and the ideal candidate is someone who excels in such a fast-paced environment and comfortable wearing many hats, with significant opportunities to gain cross-functional experience working with the product, support and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain all test plans and test processes for all current and future apps and SDKs, in close collaboration with development team.
- Identify, design and implement automation based on defined test plans, and integrate into CI/CD pipeline.
- Execute both automated and manual testing for all releases.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior testers.
- Assist with defect diagnosis, including analyzing/reproducing issues, for issues reported by partners and internal development teams.
- Assist with supporting and training our partner level 1 support teams.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Client Services and Sales teams to define and deliver the best possible product.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years in software or test development, preferably direct experience with Android or iOS testing frameworks.
- A minimum of 4 years in QA or technical support, or equivalent.
- Should be proficient in scripting languages, such as unix shell, Python, PHP, etc.
- Preferably has strong technical experience with mobile.
- Permanent work authorization (i.e. US citizen or permanent resident), unable to accept temporary work visas (e.g. H-1B, EAD, etc)
