“Would You Like Security with That?” is the Smart Add-On for any Wi-Fi or Mobile Plan

Would you like security with that?
We all know the value of bundling products/services. Who doesn’t remember McDonald’s infamous, “Would you like fries with that?” campaign.
Security is the latest trend for mobile and internet service providers to bundle with their rate plans, and for good reasons. Look around and most Wi-Fi and Cellular plans include a security offer to protect customers from malware, ransomware, phishing and other attacks. There are a few drivers for that, including ensuring customers are protected, and increasing the value and competitive differentiation of the offer. Plus, bundling these services into a subscription model makes it affordable versus a capital investment, which is especially critical for consumers and Small & Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs).
For instance, there is Comcast Business SecurityEdge. This is a DNS-based threat intelligence solution that Comcast Business bundled into two of their three Business Internet rate plans. It works seamlessly in the background to help block threats like malware and ransomware across all connected devices. The solution is provided by our partner Akamai who uses the Mobolize Data Management Engine to power their mobile clients.
Comcast found that more than half of their small business customers had experienced some sort of data breach or security incident. While solving for this problem, SecurityEdge also helped Comcast Business achieve a 4.3% revenue increase per customer.
