Why is the app using so much data?

The app uses very little data.  However, the operating system (OS) incorrectly blames the app for the data usage of other apps.  This occurs because the OS assumes the app is responsible for encrypting or optimizing the actual data usage coming from other apps (YouTube, Instagram, etc.) you use.  As a result, the OS is simply shifting the blame for data/battery usage from those apps to our app.
